The first brain vein clipping in the history of Black Lion Hospital was successfully performed

The patient who received this treatment lives a short distance away from Addis Ababa, and her story explains that she suddenly started to feel a headache while she was doing her daily work and then fainted.

When she arrived at the medical facility, she was told that there was bleeding due to a burst blood vessel in her brain, and that if the burst blood vessel was not repaired urgently, it would lead to her death.

A medical team led by Dr. Thomas Bogale, who is highly experienced in cerebral artery surgery and coordinated by the Neurosurgery Department of Black Lion Hospital, was able to restore her brain circulation in a three and a half hour operation on December 10, 2016.

This treatment is said to be the first to be done in government hospitals in the country.

The patient expressed that she was very happy with the treatment, and now she has recovered from her pain and is able to return home.
